About The Position

The Store Cleaning & Operations Associate ensures a safe and clean environment throughout the store by completing daily cleaning tasks efficiently and following company standards. The role also supports operational processes as needed to help deliver an excellent customer experience. The position requires morning and afternoon availability, as well as flexible availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The associate cleans store areas, uses approved chemicals and equipment, maintains and replenishes supplies, completes required training, and performs basic equipment maintenance. When needed, the associate helps the operations team receive and process product, manage stockroom operations, and fulfill omnichannel orders. The role also involves engaging customers and supporting the store team through Kohl’s tools and technology.

Associates are expected to act with integrity, work collaboratively, provide customer-focused service, meet individual goals, complete tasks within established timeframes, follow company policies and safety standards, and respond to direction from supervisors and other personnel. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
• Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs and comply with dress code requirements.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
• Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
• Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
• Ability to perform the listed essential functions, with reasonable accommodations available where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the store, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles, following company standards and procedures.
• Use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Monitor and replenish approved chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them in proper containers.
• Complete required training related to chemicals, equipment, and maintenance.
• Perform routine basic equipment maintenance according to company guidelines.
• Use Kohl’s tools and technology to plan, communicate, and share information with the store team.
• Support the operations team with receiving and processing product, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment when needed.
• Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services.
• Act with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork and an engaged, inclusive culture.
• Use good judgment, involve appropriate partners when needed, anticipate customer needs, and resolve issues satisfactorily.
• Meet or exceed individual goals, accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes, and follow company policies and safety standards.
