About The Position

In this seasonal role, you will help ensure a safe and clean environment throughout the store by completing daily cleaning tasks efficiently and following Kohl’s standards and procedures. You will use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment; maintain and replenish supplies; complete required training; and perform basic equipment maintenance. You will also use Kohl’s tools and technology to communicate with the store team and support receiving and processing products, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment as needed. The role includes greeting customers and offering assistance, along with carrying out general associate responsibilities such as teamwork, customer service, meeting goals, following policies and safety guidelines, and responding to direction from supervisors and other company personnel. Candidates should have strong customer service and multitasking skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, and be at least 18 years old. No retail experience is required. Flexible availability is needed, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; client-facing retail or service experience is preferred. The work requires basic math, reading, handwriting, and computer skills; use of handheld scanners and other technology; wearing personal protective equipment; and working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions. Physical demands include frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift, frequent bending and other movements, and standing or walking for the duration of a scheduled shift. Pay is listed at $18.50–$24.05. Benefits vary based on full-time or part-time status and hours worked.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete company training and comply with dress code requirements.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
No retail experience is required.

Responsibilities

Clean all store areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles, according to company standards and procedures.
Use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor, order, rotate, and properly store approved chemicals and supplies.
Complete required training related to chemicals, equipment, and maintenance.
