About The Position

The Store Cleaning-Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning tasks, while upholding company standards for customer experience, merchandising, safety, loss prevention, and store recovery. The associate is cross-trained across store areas and supports business needs, including Front End coverage. The position is at Marshalls Store 0682 in Montrose, California, and has a starting pay range of $16.90 to $17.40 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Refill essential items in the Associate Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End in accordance with health and safety policies.
Cross-train and work in multiple store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
