About The Position

The Store Cleaning-Janitorial Associate maintains a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows. The associate upholds operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position also supports customer experience practices, a positive store culture, store recovery, and Front End coverage.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company policies, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
