Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing a range of cleaning tasks while upholding operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards. The associate is cross-trained across store areas and supports business needs, including front-end coverage and store recovery. The associate models customer-experience practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. The position requires effective communication with management and coworkers, attention to detail, adaptability, and the physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and operate a floor buffer and scrubber. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
