Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating scrubbers and buffers, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate upholds operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate helps maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms; supports Front End coverage; participates in store recovery; and contributes to a positive customer and associate experience. The role requires physical stamina for cleaning tasks and floor equipment, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company policies, including shrink reduction.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Role-model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
