About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a particular focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The position also requires adherence to operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and cross-training in other store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. They support front-end coverage, merchandising and signage standards, store recovery, shrink reduction, safety awareness, and effective communication with management and colleagues. Other duties may be assigned. This position is with Marshalls Store 1263 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Starting pay is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
