About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. The associate follows company health and safety, merchandising, operational, and loss prevention policies and supports customer experience and store culture. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports Front End coverage and other business needs. The position requires customer service, communication, organization, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company policies, including shrink reduction.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
