About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards and is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position also contributes to a positive customer and associate experience and supports store recovery and Front End coverage.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
