About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows. The associate also maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, follows health and safety and loss-prevention policies, and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The associate models customer-service practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. They communicate effectively with management and other associates, support Front End coverage needs, participate in safety awareness, and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires physical stamina for cleaning tasks and operating floor-care equipment, as well as the ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
