About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a particular focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and performing cleaning and recovery tasks throughout the store, while following operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards. The associate is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas and supports customer experience practices, store culture, and Front End coverage as business needs require.

The position is at Marshalls Store 1263 in Eagle Pass, Texas. The starting pay range is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
