Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms, and replenishes essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end. The associate models customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, and upholds merchandising, signage, health and safety, operational, and loss-prevention standards. The role is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports front-end coverage and store recovery as needed. The associate communicates effectively with management and coworkers, follows company policies and labor requirements, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Capable of multitasking.

- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floor care and cleaning glass and windows.
- Operate and maintain floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, and dust.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Refill essential items in the associate lounge, restrooms, and front end in accordance with health and safety policies.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction measures.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
