About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, with particular focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing routine cleaning throughout the store. Associates also support other store areas as needed, uphold customer experience and safety standards, and follow company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor care standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
