About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. Associates are cross-trained in multiple store areas and help meet business needs, including Front End coverage. They follow company operational, merchandising, loss prevention, health and safety, and labor policies while supporting a positive customer and associate experience.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Operate the floor scrubber and buffer and maintain floor-care cleanliness standards.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End as part of health and safety practices.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
