Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and cleaning floors, windows, and other store areas. The associate also supports store operations by working across multiple areas, helping meet Front End coverage needs, and following customer experience, merchandising, safety, operational, and loss prevention standards. The position starts at 7 a.m. and pays $16.00–$16.50 per hour, with actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company Health and Safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
