About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing cleaning and recovery tasks throughout the store. Associates are cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store and help meet business needs while following company standards and policies.

The position supports a positive customer and colleague experience, maintains merchandising and loss prevention standards, responds to Front End coverage needs, and communicates effectively with management and Associates. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
