About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning tasks throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position also supports customer experience and store culture, assists with Front End coverage, maintains organizational and recovery standards, and communicates effectively with management and associates. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
