About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean, organized store environment, with a particular focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing routine cleaning tasks throughout the store. The associate also supports customer experience, store recovery, safety, merchandising standards, loss prevention, and business needs by working across multiple areas as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Clean floors and surfaces by dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer-experience practices and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
