About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning tasks while following operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs and helps maintain a positive customer experience and store culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
