About The Position

The Store Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The role also maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The position supports store operations by following health and safety, merchandising, operational, and loss-prevention standards; responding to front-end coverage needs; and cross-training in areas such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor. The Store Cleaner models positive customer experience practices, communicates effectively with management and associates, and contributes to a respectful, safe, and positive store culture. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
