About The Position

The Early Morning Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized Marshalls store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store. The employee also supports store operations by working in multiple areas as needed, maintaining customer-service practices, and following company policies and safety standards.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate the floor scrubber and buffer and maintain them as required.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End in accordance with health and safety policies.
Support Front End coverage needs and work in other store areas, including the Backroom and Sales Floor.
Adhere to operational, merchandise, signage, and loss-prevention standards, including shrink-reduction controls.
Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
