About The Position

The Early Morning Cleaner maintains a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role operates floor-cleaning equipment and performs tasks such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. It also supports store operations by following cleanliness, recovery, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards, and by being cross-trained to assist in multiple areas of the store. Availability must include weekends. The expected shift starts between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. and ends between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; the scheduling availability window is 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Holiday hours are to be determined. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 1612 in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour, with actual pay depending on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

Availability must include weekends.

Responsibilities

Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train and work in other areas of the store, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including associate meal and break periods.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
