About The Position

The Storage Customer Service Representative works as part of a support team to provide customer service and help customers with their storage and equipment needs. The role supports facility operations, assists customers with rentals and agreements, and helps keep storage units and the property clean, secure, and ready for use. The position includes on-the-job education and ongoing training through U-Haul University. The position is located at 12200 Portland Ave, Burnsville, Minnesota. Compensation is $11.41 to $12.00 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The employer offers paid working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus after completing the specified equipment inspection certification program.

Requirements

Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Excellent communication skills.
Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
Legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Support the site manager with facility operations.
Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.
Show storage units, explain rental agreement terms, and prepare rental contracts.
Perform general routine property cleanup and minor repair work.
Ensure vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure, and available for new customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Inspect and maintain equipment and assist customers using technology to dispatch and return equipment.
