About The Position

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is a construction materials distribution company serving commercial and residential construction markets in the United States and Canada. In partnership with Unified Door & Hardware Group, FBM supports construction and architectural projects. Stockers help maintain smooth operations by loading and unloading materials safely, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role includes material handling, inventory participation when required, and maintaining a safe and organized workplace. This is a full-time position with a base pay range of $20.00–$21.00 per hour. The Stocker reports to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

Strong communication and customer service skills.
General knowledge of building materials and willingness to learn.
Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying of building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds using proper lifting procedures; occasionally handle greater weights.
Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping, and manipulation.
Frequently drive or sit in a truck, forklift, or similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
Push and pull carts loaded with materials over various distances and surfaces; some functions may be performed as a team.
Additional physical requirements may apply as duties are assigned.

Responsibilities

Verify trucks are loaded and secured according to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Unload, protect, move, and stage materials according to customer directives.
Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories when required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Follow safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
Support company values in safety, customer focus, teamwork, integrity, and being a company of choice for employees and customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
