About The Position

The Stock Clerk supports aircraft maintenance. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and carrying items up to and over 50 pounds, and the ability to follow precise instructions and read information on computer screens or in documents, diagrams, and blueprints. Employees must be able to communicate routine information, organize work, make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit, and perform accurately and safely in a fast-paced, diverse work environment.

The work takes place both indoors and outdoors in changing climate conditions. Noise levels are moderate to high, and exposure to hazardous chemicals, vapors, or materials presents a low to moderate risk.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Valid motor vehicle license
• Ability to perform physical activities including balancing, bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, carrying items up to 50 pounds, grasping, kneeling, lifting items 50 pounds or more, pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above the shoulder, and repetitive motion
• Ability to sit approximately 3 hours per day, stand approximately 6 hours per day, and walk approximately 6 hours per day
• Ability to see and follow precise instructions, documents, diagrams, or blueprints; distinguish color differences; read information on a computer screen or other electronic device; detect distinct noises; and hear and understand directions and normal conversation
• Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine factual information; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology or data; and make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; follow basic instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms; use existing form letters; conduct routine oral communication; communicate by telephone; and express or exchange ideas verbally
• Attention to detail, accurate proofreading, cooperation, flexibility, organizational skills, productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced and diverse work environment, and safety consciousness
