About The Position

As a member of the Stewarding/Dishwasher team, the Steward is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes and silverware used by casino and hotel guests, kitchen equipment, and dining room and banquet areas. The role requires working efficiently in kitchen and food service areas, using cleaning chemicals and a dish machine, and handling physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team members are expected to maintain a positive demeanor, follow company policies, and contribute to exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend and complete a variety of documents.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to changes in assignments and priorities based on company needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen and food service areas.
• Must be able to tolerate temperatures in excess of 115 degrees near the dish machine.
• Must be able to use chemicals to clean and sanitize kitchen areas.
• Must be able to operate the dish machine.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push carts, pull, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, kitchen equipment, dining rooms, and banquet areas.
