About The Position

As a member of the Stewarding/Dishwasher team, the Steward is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes and silverware for casino and hotel guests, kitchen equipment, and dining room and banquet areas. The role requires maintaining a positive demeanor, following company policies and procedures, and completing other related duties as assigned.

The position involves working throughout kitchen and food service areas, operating a dish machine, using cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and handling racks, carts, dishes, and silverware. The employee must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations, tolerate high temperatures near the dish machine, and respond to visual and aural cues.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend and complete a variety of documents.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and accommodate changes in assignments and priorities based on company needs.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout kitchen and food service areas.
• Must be able to tolerate temperatures in excess of 115 degrees near the dish machine.
• Must be able to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in kitchen areas.
• Must be able to operate the dish machine.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to push carts, pull, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
