About The Position
Responsible for the final preparation of food items served in the food-service area in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and established policies and procedures. The steward may be directed by the kitchen supervisor, relief manager, or team leader to help ensure quality service at all times. No experience is required; training is provided. The position is available full time and part time at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Work schedules may vary, and rotating weekends are required.
Requirements

- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service and one-on-one attention to detail.
- Participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items according to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control, including HACCP and OSHA guidelines.
- Clean work areas and equipment used in food preparation and service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Deliver food items to and from the main kitchen.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, self, and staff.
- Cooperate with staff from other departments in performing job duties.
- Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
