Steward (Full Time And Part Time)
About The Position
The Steward is responsible for the final preparation of food items served in a food-service area, following applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and company procedures. The role may receive direction from a kitchen supervisor, relief manager, or team leader to ensure quality service. The position is based at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Full-time and part-time schedules are available; units operate Saturday through Sunday, with days and hours varying and rotating weekends required. No experience is required, and training is provided. Work may be reduced or paused during educational facility breaks, potentially resulting in unpaid temporary layoffs; depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at another location during breaks.
Requirements

- Rotating weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, detail-oriented customer service.
- Participate in preparing and serving food and beverages according to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control, including HACCP and OSHA guidelines.
- Clean work areas and equipment used in food preparation and service.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Deliver food items to and from the main kitchen.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, self, and staff.
- Cooperate with staff in other departments while performing job duties.
- Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
