About The Position
The Steward maintains kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. The role includes cleaning floors, food-preparation surfaces, dishes, equipment, and waste containers; operating large electric cleaning machines; handling and moving supplies safely; and assisting with kitchen, banquet, and front-of-house setup and deliveries. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at 155 Seaport Boulevard, Boston, Massachusetts. Pay is $22.50 to $23.00 per hour.

- Previous steward experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other assigned food-preparation surfaces.
- Segregate and remove trash and garbage, place it in designated containers, and clean garbage cans in assigned areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and food-preparation machines and equipment.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while following safe lifting standards.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
