About The Position
The Steward supports the hotel’s culinary and dining services by keeping cooking utensils, service ware, and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and ready for use. The role helps maintain high standards of hygiene and supports smooth restaurant, banquet, and event operations, contributing to the hotel’s luxury service expectations and Forbes 5-Star standards. This is a Local 6 Union position requiring complete open availability. Schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated, and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedules depend on seniority and business needs, may be minimal until seniority is established, and may vary from week to week.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher.
- Clean chinaware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, and pans, and burnish silver.
- Stock and organize supplies and equipment.
- Transport and store clean service ware safely and properly to avoid breakage.
- Perform kitchen and dining-area cleaning, including mopping floors and removing trash.
- Prepare and set up clean service ware for events, banquets, and functions.
- Move dishes, glassware, and utensils between locations to support restaurant and banquet services.
- Assist with bottling water and preparing water stations.
- Train and mentor new stewards.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
- Support restaurant and operations teams in achieving Forbes 5-Star standards.
