About The Position

The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking a Bartender for Yoshoku. The Bartender prepares and serves beverages while delivering friendly, attentive hospitality and memorable guest experiences. This union position is part of Local 6 and requires complete open availability; schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated. Full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedules are based on seniority and business needs, may be minimal at times until seniority is established, and may vary from week to week.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of bartending experience in a fine dining, cocktail-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Forbes 5-star or Michelin restaurant is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make each experience special.
• Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to recipe standards, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.
• Stock and organize bar supplies, including beverages, glassware, and perishables.
• Use the point-of-sale system to accurately process cash, credit and debit cards, gift certificates, and vouchers.
• Manage inventory and ensure the freshness and quality of beverage-related items.
• Professionally address guest concerns and manage situations involving intoxicated guests with care and respect to ensure a safe environment.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
