About The Position

Suncrest Hospice aims to provide exceptional hospice care and service by increasing staff-to-patient ratios, clinical visits, and support for clinicians. The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) works under the direction of a Case Manager/DON and provides care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and nursing management direction. The STNA coordinates with other licensed care staff to ensure residents receive appropriate care and follows company nursing policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• State Tested Nursing Assistant certification in the state(s) of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance; must be willing to drive.
• Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with community organizations in patient care.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate daily with care team members.
• Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.

• Interest in pursuing certifications and further education.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments and care plans and as directed by nursing management.
• Coordinate with other licensed care staff to provide appropriate types of care to residents.
• Follow company nursing policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and STNA leadership in patient care.
• Work closely with patients on a one-to-one level.
• Drive to provide care, using reliable transportation.
