About The Position

Signet Health is seeking a Staffing Scheduler/Coordinator to manage daily staffing coverage for its psychiatric facility. The role uses scheduling software to build and maintain master schedules, manage shift coverage, and support interdisciplinary teams in providing patient care. The coordinator adjusts schedules in response to census changes, call-outs, and planned time off; coordinates daily staff movement and fills unexpected vacancies; communicates staffing adjustments to unit supervisors; reconciles bi-weekly time clock punch records; and performs routine clerical and administrative tasks. The position reports directly to nursing leadership and supports operations at the Outpatient Behavioral Health program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Requirements

• At least two years of administrative experience.
• Maintain an active annual CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
• Maintain a biannual BLS/CPR certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to maintain digital scheduling software.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in adult behavioral health or a hospital setting is strongly preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update master schedules, adjusting for census changes, call-outs, and pre-planned PTO.
• Coordinate daily staff movement and fill unexpected vacancies to maintain safe, adequate unit coverage.
• Communicate daily staffing adjustments with unit supervisors.
• Reconcile bi-weekly time clock punch records and assist with time and attendance accuracy.
• Support facility day-to-day operations with routine clerical and administrative tasks.
