About The Position

Adventist Health and Rideout is a healthcare provider serving Yuba-Sutter County and the surrounding areas. The Staffing Coordinator ensures appropriate daily staffing of nursing units, plans ahead to fill vacant shifts using internal staff and external supplemental staffing agencies, and enters accurate census, acuity, and staffing data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports. The role also performs clerical, reception, and general office duties and fosters sensitivity to nurses’ needs while meeting patient-care staffing needs. The position coordinates small programs with limited budget and impact. Adventist Health requires associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply. Requirements

High school education, GED, or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and update daily staffing sheets and update working master schedules daily.
Coordinate with bed control to ensure required assignments are staffed.
Maintain and update employee contact information for designated areas.
Maintain staff qualification lists.
Maintain attendance records, on-call lists, and float lists.
Process leave requests.
Enter data into the payroll system.
Enter accurate census, acuity, and staffing data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports.
Look ahead to fill vacant shifts with internal staff and external supplemental staffing agencies.
Perform clerical, reception, and general office duties.
Coordinate small programs with limited budget and impact.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
