About The Position
Northern Light Mayo Hospital is seeking a full-time emergency medicine staff physician to join its collegial team at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. The role offers broad-spectrum emergency medicine practice in a close-knit rural community, with a supportive clinical environment and an emphasis on work-life balance. The hospital has a 10-bed emergency department that sees approximately 10,000 visits annually. Physicians work 12-hour shifts and have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, telehealth support, specialty consultations, and strong nursing and clinical support staff. Northern Light Health is an integrated statewide healthcare system focused on community health and offers a collaborative, mission-driven environment with professional growth opportunities. The estimated base salary is $260 per hour. Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine preferred.
- Family medicine or internal medicine physicians with significant emergency medicine experience may be considered.
- Eligible for Maine medical licensure.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care in a rural community setting.
