About The Position

Marvell is hiring a Staff DFT Engineer for its Optical DSP (ODSP) team within the Connectivity Business Unit. The team develops ASICs for hyperscale data centers, enterprise, and AI infrastructure, including multi-terabit retimers, coherent DSP devices, and high-speed optical transceivers. The role is based in Santa Clara and will support a next-generation ODSP program, helping establish methodology and flow for flagship products developed in advanced TSMC process nodes. The engineer will implement and verify design-for-test features on assigned blocks and partitions, run ATPG and improve test coverage, support DFT timing closure, and help with silicon bring-up and ATE pattern debugging. The role also includes automating flows with scripts and documenting methodology. The position requires collaboration with physical design, STA, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • At least 5 years of DFT experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years with a master’s degree.
  • Hands-on experience with scan, ATPG, MBIST, and JTAG using Synopsys or Siemens tools.
  • Good Verilog/SystemVerilog and scripting skills in Tcl, Python, or Perl.
  • Understanding of ASIC flow, STA, and gate-level simulation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implement scan, compression, OCC, wrappers, and MBIST on assigned blocks or partitions.
  • Run ATPG, analyze coverage, and drive coverage improvement using test points and fault exclusions.
  • Run DFT DRC and gate-level zero-delay and SDF simulations, and debug failures.
  • Support DFT timing constraints and closure with physical design and STA teams.
  • Generate patterns and support silicon bring-up and ATE pattern debugging.
  • Write scripts to automate flows and document methodology.

Benefits

  • Eligible to participate in bonus and equity plans, including a new-hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers.
  • Employee stock purchase plan with a 2-year look back.
  • Family support programs.
  • Mental health resources.
  • Recognition and service awards.
