About The Position

This role is for internal applicants only, seeking either an SSPT Committee Member or an SSPT Lead for the 2026-2027 school year. There are 5 openings in total, open to both certificated and classified staff. The specific role (Member or Lead) will be determined based on applicant qualifications and school needs. Stipends will be paid monthly over an 11-month period. For non-exempt hourly employees, compensation will be an additional per hour amount equivalent to the stipend.

Requirements

• Internal applicants only.
• Arrive to meetings on time and sign in.
• Actively participate in meetings as reported by the committee head.
• Attend at least 98% of meetings as determined by sign-in sheets.
• Active and full participation in all specified meetings, assigned professional development sessions, and designated work sessions.
• Abide by general professional guidelines, such as attending meetings on time and completing work by required deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Meet at least once per week.
• Collect and review data including academic assessments, behavior reports, attendance, health, and language proficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of issues, potentially using tools like '5 Whys' or 'Fishbone Diagram'.
• Develop intervention plans with specific, measurable goals and select targeted interventions (Tier 2 or Tier 3).
• Assign responsibilities for intervention plans, detailing who will do what, when, and how.
• Develop a progress monitoring plan, determining data collection methods and frequency, and setting follow-up dates (typically within 4-6 weeks).

Benefits

• Stipend of up to $2000 per semester on top of teaching salary (for salary exempt employees).
• Additional per hour amount up to and equivalent to the stipend amount (for hourly non-exempt employees).
• SSPT Lead role receives $1000 per semester for Committee Head (admin not eligible).
