About The Position

REI Co-op seeks a Sr. Store Sales Specialist to represent the co-op and engage daily with REI Members and Customers. The role requires broad knowledge of products, equipment, assortments, and services, as well as initiative and productivity to guide Retail Sales Specialists. The position is suited to someone passionate about the outdoors and committed to REI’s values. The specialist supports store sales and service, merchandising, inventory and pricing accuracy, and staff development. They work with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations, and contribute to an inclusive workplace where employees can bring their perspectives and ambitions to work.

Retail sales and customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in REI Sales and Service Training to drive sales.
Prepare the store by stocking, coordinating the stocking process, and handling merchandise.
Adjust visual presentations to reflect inventory levels, new products, and promotions.
Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels.
Train and mentor new staff.
Partner with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations.
Engage with REI Members and Customers and use product, equipment, assortment, and service knowledge to support them.
