Sr. Growth Product Manager

Doppler
•$170,000 - $200,000

About The Position

Doppler is hiring a Sr. Growth Product Manager to own its self-serve growth engine, from a developer’s first visit through team payment. The role is central to the company’s plans to grow substantially over the next few years and focuses on experiments that increase top-line revenue and new self-serve ARR. The position works across the product and reports to the Head of Product, with a potential path to Head of Growth as the function scales. The role emphasizes growth that helps developers succeed rather than adding intrusive prompts. The person will represent first-time users in product and go-to-market decisions and partner across Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Leadership, Finance, Sales, and RevOps. Doppler’s Product and Design team is nimble and hands-on, and the role will have a dedicated growth engineering pod to help turn ideas into experiments. The Growth Product Manager will own key funnel metrics, build the experimentation practice, shape activation and conversion experiences, and help develop the growth team. Doppler describes its culture as entrepreneurial, action-oriented, collaborative, low-ego, and focused on written, asynchronous communication. Employees set their hours, and the company defaults to zero meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning a self-serve or PLG funnel end to end at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools and a point of view on the AI agent ecosystem.
  • A record of experiments that measurably improved revenue or conversion, with the ability to explain the results numerically.
  • Strong understanding of converting free accounts to paid accounts and how self-serve usage can support enterprise sales.
  • Comfort with data, including writing SQL, using experimentation and feature-flagging platforms, understanding event tracking, cohorts, and attribution, and recognizing limitations of A/B tests.
  • Strong developer-experience instincts, including opinions on CLIs, error messages, defaults, and documentation, and ability to combine data and user research in developer-friendly experiments.
  • Technical depth sufficient to earn developers’ trust and work closely with engineers on instrumentation and architecture.
  • Experience leading a growth team or building an experimentation practice from scratch.
  • Clear written and asynchronous communication; documents work and shares both positive and negative results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a developer-tool, infrastructure, or security company.
  • Pricing and packaging experience at a SaaS or developer-tools company, including usage-based or seat-based pricing changes.
  • Experience at a company that shifted from PLG to enterprise.
  • Background in security, DevOps, or infrastructure products.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing and website and signup-funnel work.

Responsibilities

  • Own self-serve revenue metrics, including visit-to-signup, signup-to-activation, free-to-paid, and trial conversion, with the goal of driving new self-serve ARR.
  • Partner with Marketing on the pre-signup experience, including the website, pricing page, and demo forms, and use data to identify which visitors become active paying users.
  • Identify early actions that predict a paying account, measure time-to-value, and shorten the path to a first synced secret and running integration across individual developers, teams, and trials.
  • Improve the developer onboarding experience, including the CLI, documentation, and discovery of unused features.
  • Own upgrade paths, paywalls, trials, plan limits, and checkout; work with Leadership and Finance on pricing and packaging changes.
  • Build Doppler’s experimentation practice, including its roadmap, tools, success criteria, and workflows; prioritize experiments with material business impact.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing on onboarding emails and campaigns so lifecycle and in-product messaging work together.
  • Help product teams drive adoption as Doppler launches new products.
  • Define product-usage signals that indicate a self-serve account is ready for a Sales conversation, and work with Sales and RevOps to route those accounts to appropriate representatives.
  • Help build the growth team, including hiring engineers, partnering with Design, shaping team processes and shipping pace, and sharing lessons across the company.
  • Build a growth model, set funnel strategy, and present progress and lessons to leadership and investors.

Benefits

  • Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Unlimited PTO, with a three-week minimum strongly encouraged.
  • Upward mobility.
  • Learning and development stipend.
