About The Position

The eCommerce Technical Sr. Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for the day-to-day delivery, quality, and performance of Lovesac's eCommerce platform. The role is the primary technical point of contact for eCommerce system integrators and development partners, owning release execution, code and architecture review, environment and integration health, and technical acceptance of delivered work on Adobe Commerce or Salesforce Commerce Cloud and its storefront experience layer. The position is remote, reports into Lovesac's Corporate HUB in Stamford, Connecticut, and requires candidates to reside in the United States throughout employment and travel as needed. The engineer oversees the monthly release cycle, reviews vendor-delivered code and configuration, validates work in staging, and provides technical sign-off before production deployment. The role also monitors platform performance and uptime, troubleshoots integrations and production issues, improves automated regression testing, and supports architecture and security reviews. It includes vendor oversight, review of estimates and solution designs, and evaluation of delivery partners and tools. The engineer contributes technical input to platform and architecture decisions and works to increase internal knowledge and reduce reliance on any single partner.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on engineering experience on a modern enterprise eCommerce platform such as Adobe Commerce (Magento) or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern storefront architecture, such as AEM Edge Delivery Services or a headless/composable SFCC storefront.
  • Experience reviewing and governing work delivered by system integrators or offshore development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with commerce integrations (ERP, OMS, PIM, POS, payments) and API-based data flows (REST, GraphQL).
  • Proficiency with release management, CI/CD, version control (Git/Bitbucket), and automated testing practices.
  • Working knowledge of site performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and web analytics (GA4, GTM).
  • Familiarity with AI-augmented development tools and a practical understanding of where they add value.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; comfortable serving as the technical voice in vendor and business conversations.
  • Must reside in the United States at all times during employment.
  • Must be able to travel as required by the company for meetings, conferences, events, and vendor visits.
  • Must exemplify Lovesac values, be results-driven, meet or exceed KPIs, goals, and deadlines, comply with company policies, and treat internal and external clients with dignity and respect.
