About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can negotiate rates with dispatchers and receive a large number of loads, with loads personalized according to their preferences. Dispatchers have at least four years of experience. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. Minimum average monthly earnings are described as $8,000 or more, depending on vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat and TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• At least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Provide the vehicle's registration and insurance.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
• Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate a Sprinter or Cargo Van to accept and transport loads for the company.

• Provide vehicle registration and insurance information.
