About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers competitive, negotiable rates, access to a large number of loads, and personalized load offers based on driver preferences. Dispatchers have more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates listed for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated workdays are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

Russian language skills are accommodated.
A Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC may affect earnings.

Responsibilities

Operate an owner-provided Sprinter or Cargo Van to accept and complete loads from the company.
Communicate load preferences to dispatchers so they can offer suitable loads.
Register with and obtain approval from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance documents.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
