About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers competitive per-mile rates, a large number of loads, experienced dispatchers, and loads personalized to drivers’ preferences. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must be owner-operators with their own vehicle.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

Russian language ability; Russian speakers are also hired.
Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

Operate an owner-operated Sprinter or Cargo Van to accept and transport loads from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER.
Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept loads through the company.
Inform the company before putting a vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
