About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers competitive, negotiable rates, access to a large number of loads, and personalized load offers based on each operator’s preferences. Dispatchers have more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated work days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants are applying to operate as owner-operators.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be no older than 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC, which may affect the stated average monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
• Provide and operate a Sprinter or Cargo Van that meets the vehicle requirements.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
• Notify the company before putting the vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
