About The Position

Odyssea is seeking independent contractors with cargo vans or Sprinter vans for freight opportunities in Wisconsin and across the United States and Canada, subject to route and load availability. Loads are offered and managed through the company’s app, where drivers can review details—including pickup and delivery locations, mileage, weight, and rate—before deciding whether to accept. There is no forced dispatch, and the agreement is non-exclusive. Drivers may choose local, regional, or over-the-road routes that fit their availability. Freight is no-touch, with no loading or unloading required of the driver, subject to load-specific requirements.

The company lists pay of $1.20 per loaded mile for local loads and $0.90–$1.00 per loaded mile for long-haul loads, depending on distance and lane. Detention pay is $30 per hour, and layover pay is $150 per night. Payments are made weekly, every Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

• Have a 2016 or newer cargo van or Sprinter van; rental vehicles are not accepted.
• Meet the minimum cargo-space dimensions of 120 × 50 × 50 inches (L × W × H), or use a 12–14-foot box truck under 10,000 lbs GVW.
• Have at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Provide a driving record.
• Ensure the vehicle has no decals, stickers, or company logos.
• Maintain commercial auto liability insurance of $1,000,000.
• Maintain motor truck cargo insurance of $100,000, with a maximum deductible of $1,000.
• Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools tracking apps.

Responsibilities
