About The Position

Odyssea is an established carrier company with five years of experience in the U.S. transportation industry and a reliable customer base. Independent contractors can review available loads in the company app before accepting; listings include pickup and delivery locations, mileage, weight, rate, and other details. Loads are offered and managed through the app, with no forced dispatch and a non-exclusive agreement. Contractors can choose local, regional, and over-the-road opportunities based on their availability. Freight opportunities are available across the United States and Canada, subject to route and load availability. Freight is described as no-touch, so drivers are not required to load or unload, subject to load-specific requirements.

Compensation includes $1.20 per loaded mile for local loads and $0.90–$1.00 per loaded mile for long-haul loads, depending on distance and lane. Detention pay is $30 per hour, and layover pay is $150 per night. Payments are made weekly, every Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

• Own or provide a 2016-or-newer cargo van or Sprinter van; rental vehicles are not accepted.
• Vehicle cargo space must be at least 120 × 50 × 50 inches (L × W × H).
• Box trucks must be 12–14 feet and under 10,000 lbs GVW.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Provide a driving record.
• Van must have no decals, stickers, or company logos.
• Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools.
• Commercial auto liability insurance of $1,000,000.
• Motor truck cargo insurance of $100,000, with a maximum deductible of $1,000.

Responsibilities

• Review load details in the app and choose whether to accept available loads.
• Transport accepted freight on local, regional, or over-the-road routes, subject to route and load availability.
• Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools tracking apps.
• Provide a driving record.
