About The Position

Odyssea is seeking independent contractors with a cargo van, Sprinter van, or qualifying box truck to transport freight in Wisconsin, with opportunities for loads across the United States and Canada, subject to route and load availability. Loads are offered and managed through the company app, where contractors can review pickup and delivery locations, mileage, weight, rates, and other details before accepting. There is no forced dispatch or exclusive commitment, and contractors can choose loads and schedules that fit their availability. Routes may be local, regional, or over-the-road. Freight is no-touch, subject to load-specific requirements. Compensation is listed as $1.20 per loaded mile for local loads and $0.90–$1.00 per loaded mile for long-haul loads, depending on distance and lane. Detention pay is $30 per hour and layover pay is $150 per night. Payments are made weekly, every Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of driving experience.
A 2016 or newer cargo van or Sprinter van; rental vehicles are not accepted.
Cargo space of at least 120" × 50" × 50" (length × width × height).
Alternatively, box trucks must be 12–14 feet and under 10,000 lbs GVW.
Commercial auto liability insurance of $1,000,000.
Motor truck cargo insurance of $100,000, with a maximum deductible of $1,000.
The vehicle must not have decals, stickers, or company logos.
Must install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools tracking apps.
No separate MC authority is required.

Responsibilities

Transport accepted freight loads between the specified pickup and delivery locations.
Review load details in the company app and accept loads at the contractor’s discretion.
Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools tracking apps.
Provide a driving record.
