About The Position

Odysseia is seeking independent contractors with a qualifying cargo van, Sprinter van, or box truck to transport freight. Available loads are offered through the company’s app, where contractors can review pickup and delivery locations, mileage, weight, rates, and other load details before accepting. Opportunities include local, regional, and over-the-road routes across the United States and Canada, subject to route and load availability. Dispatch is app-based, and there is no forced dispatch or exclusive commitment. Drivers are not required to load or unload freight, subject to load-specific requirements. Contractors choose opportunities that fit their availability. Payments are made weekly on Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

• At least one year of driving experience.
• Provide a driving record.
• Use a 2016 or newer cargo van or Sprinter van; rental vehicles are not accepted.
• Vehicle cargo space must be at least 120 × 50 × 50 inches (length × width × height).
• Alternatively, box trucks must be 12–14 feet and under 10,000 lbs GVW.
• The van must not have decals, stickers, or company logos.
• Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools.
• Commercial auto liability insurance of $1,000,000.
• Motor truck cargo insurance of $100,000, with a maximum deductible of $1,000.
• No separate MC authority is required.

Responsibilities

• Review available loads and their details through the company app.
• Accept and transport loads on chosen local, regional, or over-the-road routes.
• Install and use MacroPoint and Trucker Tools tracking apps.
• Provide a driving record.
• Maintain the required vehicle and commercial insurance coverage.

Benefits

• Detention pay of $30 per hour.

• Local loads pay $1.20 per loaded mile.
• Long-haul loads pay $0.90–$1.00 per loaded mile, depending on distance and lane.
• Freight opportunities across the United States and Canada, subject to route and load availability.
