About The Position

Soccer Shots Long Island West is hiring a full-time, on-site Sports Recruiting & Operations Coordinator in Farmingdale, New York. The role supports the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing support of coaches who deliver the organization’s children’s soccer enrichment programs. Human resources experience is not required; training in recruiting and hiring is provided. Candidates with backgrounds in sports, coaching, college athletics, or working with children are encouraged to apply. The role offers an annual salary of $50,000 to $55,000, paid training, and growth opportunities within a growing youth sports organization. This is not a remote position, relocation assistance is unavailable, and reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable learning new software and systems.
Reliable transportation is required.
Able to work full-time on-site in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York.

Nice To Haves

Background as a former college athlete, coach, assistant coach, or athletic department staff member.
Experience in youth sports, camps, childcare, recreation, or after-school programs.
Previous recruiting or human resources experience.

Responsibilities

Recruit coaches through colleges, universities, athletic departments, and local networks.
Review applications, conduct phone screens, and schedule interviews.
Coordinate onboarding, background checks, and new-hire paperwork.
Build relationships with coaches, candidates, and college contacts.
Maintain recruiting records.
Work with the operations team to keep coaching positions filled.
